With two boys and a full-time day job, my world often operates at warp speed. Photographs allow me to still the beauty in the world around me. The red of a blooming verbena, the tear on the petal of a Gerbera daisy, the stunning violet of a hydrangea on the coast of New England. Coming home from my travels has always been bittersweet. I’ve never loved leaving the beach, but the hundreds of pictures I come home with have allowed me to relive my favorite moments and savor them just a little longer. Photography lets me breathe deeper, live more fully, and slow down our pace.
