Gone to Carolina …
This is where I wish I was …
Carolina seashore:
Low tide,
Wide berth
Between reality and me.
Yellow vines
Pepper Wild Dunes.
A weathered fence,
Gray and splintered,
Witness to past storms,
Basks today
In peaceful breeze,
And two boys
Kick wakes of their own
In a real-life water color.
Waves speak in memories,
A smile dreams lazily on my lips
Liquid time,
Exactly as it’s supposed to be.
